Progress and Partnership Drive Success at the 5th RISS Meeting in Odense

The Rail Interlocking System Simulation (RISS) project partners gathered on April 10-11, 2025, in Odense, Denmark, hosted by LudusXR, to discuss critical advancements and future steps.

This fifth partnership meeting was an important milestone, marking the final quarter of the project and bringing partners together to align on simulation development and scenario preparation.

Finalizing Scenarios and Advancing Simulations

During the meeting, partners confirmed that the development of simulation scenarios is complete, and modeling works have been finalized. The simulation software is now being prepared, building on these completed models and scenarios.

Partners reviewed progress on the safety aspects integrated into the scenarios, emphasizing the importance of compliance with standards to ensure effective and secure training experiences.

Looking Ahead: Upcoming Activities and Events.

Partners discussed upcoming activities, including the Learning, Teaching, and Training (LTT) event in Kocaeli in June 2025, where the scenarios will be tested and reviewed.

The sixth partnership meeting is planned for October 2025 in Bari, Italy, hosted by ITS Cuccovillo. Additionally, the project’s closing conference and a second LTT event will take place in Ankara, Turkey, in early December 2025.
